VERGE Conference Explores Improving Energy Efficiency in Brazilian Buildings

São Paulo, November 11, 2013 /3BL Media/ – The Institute for Building Efficiency reports that in 20121, 89 percent of Brazilian building executives surveyed said energy management was either very or extremely important to their organizations, up from 73 percent in 2011.

Prior to her role as general manager for one of the fastest growing regions of the world, Blase served as chief financial officer for Trane and Thermo King. She worked closely with the executive leadership team to set the direction for finance, accounting and information systems, and created shared services environments.

Manoel L.S. Gameiro is applied product and commercial channel leader for the Latin American region at Trane; president of the Brazil Green Building Council and energy efficiency director for the Brazilian Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Association (ABRAVA). He holds a degree in mechanical engineering with specialization in refrigeration and air conditioning from the Industrial Engineering University - FEI and with a master's degree in business administration from the Business School of SP - BSP.

Danilo Elez is vice president of product and channel management in Latin America for Trane and Thermo King, brands of Ingersoll Rand. Elez drives innovation programs to benefit customers throughout the region. His most recent roles were vice president and general manager of Thermo King Latin America and vice president of business development for Trane Global Services.

Over his 20-year career, Elez has lead businesses for Ingersoll Rand in Asia, Europe and the Americas for residential, commercial and industrial businesses with direct and multi-step distribution.  He is a Fulbright scholar with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering and economics from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
