Trane Educates EE Global Attendees on How Connected Building Technology is Evolving Conventional Energy Management Techniques

May 8, 2017 5:00 PM ET

Washington D.C., May 8, 2017 /3BL Media/ — Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, will participate in a panel discussion at the 2017 EE Global Forum (EE Global) in Washington D.C., on May 8 at 1:15pm ET.

Titled “No More Status Quo: Are Technologies Disrupting Conventional Models,” Brad Trevillian, director of energy services at Trane, will discuss how connected building technology drives efficiency of commercial buildings and how the transition to an integrated systems and services model is transforming the industry.

“In order to transform the industry and build new, effective models for energy management, we must look beyond individual system efficiency,” Trevillian said. “By focusing on the customer experience and making it easy for facility teams to gather and analyze data within their building systems, we can show measurable results that can be replicated across other industries.”

Buildings are one of the top users of energy around the world, consuming more than 40 percent of energy in the United States. With 60 percent of that total coming from heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and lighting systems, there is a great opportunity for facility management teams to improve energy management efforts to drive efficiencies by improving the efficiency of their operations. Trevillian will describe how connected buildings are changing how commercial buildings are managed.

Trevillian will also discuss how Trane is evolving beyond the mechanical systems to connect the building and other important systems together, which help drive efficiency and provide real results for organizations who have sustainability efforts.
