WASHINGTON, D.C., May 16, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Deirdre White, CEO of PYXERA Global, co-led an interactive session at the Shared Value Leadership Summit in New York City this week. Alongside Shared Value Initiative Executive Director, Justin Bakule, this session is setting the shared value research agenda for 2014.

Shared value practitioners and companies participated in an interactive session to identify a “wish list” to advance the shared value field.  Ranging from a clearer definition of the corporate social engagement spectrum to more precise measurement systems to enterprise-wide shared value adoption frameworks, over 300 practitioners voiced their opinions on what type of knowledge and research is necessary to advance shared value from an appealing idea to a mainstream movement that is rooted in the culture of for-profit enterprise and social and public sector operational norms.

The Summit centers on the theme, Investing in Prosperity. Michael Porter, a key player in the shared value movement opened up the event with a talk on the evolution of shared value as an approach for businesses to be socially responsible while also profitable.  CEO of PYERA Global. Deirdre White pointed out, “Billions of dollars in business opportunities are now arising as shared value reaches the enterprise level and companies from diverse sectors are shifting quickly. The opportunities are there. As practitioners, implementers and strategists, we need to do the difficult work to fire up this movement to the next level.”
