PYXERA Global to be Featured in 2014 Net Impact Conference Across its Main Practice Areas

Washington, D.C., November 6, 2014 /3BL Media/PYXERA Global is pleased to announce numerous leaders across the organization’s main practice areas will represent the organization at the upcoming 2014 Net Impact Conference November 6-8 in Minneapolis, MN.

Net Impact is a community of more than 40,000 student and professional leaders creating positive social and environmental change in the workplace. The 2014 Net Impact Conference will focus on “Breaking Boundaries” in order to address tough social and environmental issues.   

On Saturday, Nov. 8, Dan Breneman, Program Manager, Local Content Development of PYXERA Global will lead the interactive workshop, “Integrating Local Entrepreneurs into Global Supply Chains”.  Attendees will learn about the complexities and opportunities of foreign direct investment from a practitioner at the intersection of global supply chain and local entrepreneurship.  They will then work in interactive teams to build a strategic action framework around real case studies from the extractives industry.

Laura Asiala, Vice President, Public Affairs of PYXERA Global, who also serves on the Board of Directors for Net Impact, will draw from her experience in talent development and culture building in both corporate and non-profit settings. Asiala will speak to creating a culture of employee engagement as part of a panel discussion, “What’s New and What’s Next in CSR” and will also be giving a solo talk on Volunteerism 2.0 at the upcoming 2014 Net Impact Conference Nov. 7 and 8.

PYXERA Global’s MBAs Without Borders initiative will also host a table at the Net Impact Expo with a special focus on global health Friday, Nov. 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Expo is a networking event of the Net Impact Conference that brings together 2,700 individuals with organizations committed to making a social and environmental impact.
