HP wins Points of Light’s 2013 Corporate Engagement Award

HP’s Global Social Impact program was awarded the 2013 Corporate Engagement Award of Excellence at the Points of Light annual conference on Volunteering and Service. The award recognizes outstanding employee volunteer programs that engage and inspire volunteers and improve communities.

In presenting the award, Michelle Nunn, Points of Light’s CEO, cited HP for creating a transformative program that provides many ways for employees to volunteer. She also noted the value HP places on volunteering and the commitment it has to encouraging every employee to use his or her skills to make life better for others.

The criteria for the award included having a strong leadership, a clear plan, a method of measuring accomplishments, a solid design, community collaboration, a system to engage employees and an openness to learn from past experience.

The Ritz-Carlton was also recognized for its Community Footprints Program.
