First Annual Tigua Inc. & Tigua Transportation Golf Classic Benefits Muscular Dystrophy Association

EL PASO, Texas, Dec. 19, 2013 /3BL Media/ -- Local CITGO Lubricants Marketer/Distributor Tigua, Inc. and Tigua Transportation joined forces with the Rio Grande Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) to launch its 2013 Inaugural Golf Classic on Oct. 28, 2013. Sixty-five members of the El Paso community gathered at Butterfield Trail Golf Course to raise money in support of the local chapter of MDA. The funds raised this year stay in the El Paso area to repair durable medical equipment items, support group sessions and local clinics, fund ongoing research and send local children to MDA summer camp.

The October tournament served as the first step toward an annual tradition of supporting the El Paso MDA chapter and included some very special guests this year. The participants had the privilege of playing with five soldiers as part of the Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) program. BOSS, which works to enhance quality of life for soldiers that are on their own, helps soldiers identify and plan leisure activities and encourages participation in community activities like local fundraisers.
