City of Hope and Voya Financial Chairman, CEO Rod Martin Raise over 775K to Support Cancer Research and Treatment Efforts

City of Hope’s National Life Insurance Council (NLIC) honored Rodney O. Martin, Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Voya Financial, at its inaugural Spirit of Life® Gala in September. The group raised $775,600, which will support cancer research and treatment efforts at City of Hope, the world-renowned medical, scientific research and treatment center.

The Spirit of Life Award, City of Hope’s highest honor, was presented to Martin at a gala dinner in New York on September 15. Each year, the award recognizes individuals whose work has fundamentally impacted his or her service industries.
