HEINEKEN USA Day of Giving

HEINEKEN USA empowers its employees across the country to give back to the communities where they live and work. As part of this commitment, HEINEKEN USA organizes the Day of Giving program, offering daylong volunteer opportunities for employees and their families. In past years, our people have spent more than 7,500 hours doing things like delivering holiday meals, creating community gardens or raising funds for charity.

For our latest Day of Giving event, we joined forces with GrowNYC, a respected community greening organization in New York City. Over 100 employees dug in to renovate the Mott Haven Community Garden in the South Bronx in New York City.

Once a flourishing community garden, Mott Haven suffered extensive fire damage in 2015. The team helped transform it into a 32,500-square-foot green space for gardening groups and the local community, creating 16 new raised beds and providing 800-square-feet of new growing space.
