CIT Cares Month

About CIT Cares Month: The spirit of giving back to communities is present across CIT. In 2017, CIT launched a month-long program called CIT Cares Month, where employees are encouraged to volunteer in their local communities. This effort is supported through a paid time off program for all CIT staff. In the first year, approximately 1,700 CIT employees completed 160 projects and volunteered 7,500 hours on projects. The second annual CIT Cares Month takes place in June 2018 with participation expected across 18 locations nationwide.

During CIT Cares Month, more than 250 community projects were completed by 1,900 CIT volunteers over 7,300 hours across 18 locations to make a difference. These efforts included packing & delivering over 130,000 lbs of food, planting 1,300 lbs of vegetables, and cleaning parks and beaches across the country.
