Barclays and the Climb to History

From the first steam railway to the Morris motorcar, Barclays has a long heritage of supporting pioneers. In late September 1975, the then international arm of Barclays – Barclays Bank International – sponsored a successful British expedition to the top of Mount Everest via the previously unconquered South West Face.
