This week, the Bloomberg Philanthropy & Engagement team, Chairman Peter Grauer and 100 Best of Bloomberg volunteers took more than 1,000 students from 16 London schools to a special theater performance to celebrate the culmination of the first year of the Bloomberg Startup program in the UK.

Wells Fargo & Company selected six additional clean technology startups to join the Wells Fargo Innovation Incubator (IN2), a five-year, $10 million program which is helping accelerate innovative environmental technologies.

Nearly 300 volunteers recently gathered at the Rock Ponds, Tampa Bay’s largest wetland restoration site, to take part in the largest volunteer marsh planting in the history of Tampa Bay. Volunteers planted 40,000 plugs of salt marsh cordgrass to help to restore fish and coastal wildlife habitats and improve water quality in the area. This record-setting event was supported by CITGO Petroleum Corporation, Tampa Bay Watch, the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD), the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission and Hillsborough County.

On Friday, December 11th, PYXERA Global received the Local Content Initiative Award at the annual Ghana Oil and Gas Awards (GOGA) in recognition of the USAID-funded Ghana Supply Chain Development (SCD) Program. Since its inception in March 2013, the SCD Program has increased the participation of 194 Ghanaian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the oil and gas supply chain.
