We’re proud to announce that General Motors has been included on this year’s Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, a global index long considered the gold standard for corporate sustainability. This is the fourth year we’ve made the North American Index as the only automaker and our second time appearing on the World Index.

On Saturday, September 8th, Nestle Waters North America sponsored California’s Day of Preparedness in Sacramento, California. The annual event, hosted each year by California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), is open to the public and regularly sees over 5,000 attendees.

General Mills has been named to both the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and the North American Index by S&P Dow Jones Indices and sustainability asset management firm RobecoSAM. The Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) is one of the most prestigious recognitions for leadership in corporate sustainability, and is based on in-depth analysis of economic, environmental and social performance. General Mills scored well above the industry average across each of these dimensions.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. has once again been recognized by the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for its industry-leading corporate sustainability efforts. Sands is the only Integrated Resort company included on the DJSI North America.

Last month, JetBlue worked with VH1’s Save the Music to donate instruments to Henry H. Filer Middle Schoo in Hialeah, Fla. l to “bring the beat back.” The donation will help revival their music program, which had been shut down for more than a decade. JetBlue recognizes how much music adds into a child’s education. The arts help inspire creative thinking and opportunities. The event ended on a high note with a surprise guest performance from Emily Estefan.

With a focus on STEAM (science, technology engineering, arts and math) education, JetBlue has been a proud partner of VH1 Save The Music for more than 10 years, raising more than $300,000 to boost the Foundation’s mission on a national level and save the music in public schools across the country.

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) has been named to the 2018 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), including both the World and North America indices. This marks the 19th time Caterpillar has been included in the DJSI.

As carbon pollution from global cattle production and tropical deforestation continues its alarming rise, 44 investors with approximately US $6.4 trillion in assets under management today called on companies sourcing beef and related cattle products to mitigate and eliminate deforestation risks from their supply chains.
