240 Miles for Charity

Over the next two days, 15 bikers will ride 240 miles from Benton Harbor to Clyde, Ohio. The intention is to raise money for the two United Way organizations prevalent in each city. While some of the bikers work in Ohio and others work in Benton Harbor, they all come from the same home appliance maker.

The National Council of La Raza (NCLR), and Citi Community Development kicked off an initiative today to provide training and technical assistance for four leading local housing counseling agencies and expand access to Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) -certified counseling and foreclosure prevention services for low- and moderate-income families across Puerto Rico. The initiative aims to increase the number of families who can avoid foreclosures and preserve assets as well as help local families develop financial management skills to save and build credit.
