Growing up in Kenya, the Ruto brothers couldn’t recall ever having a consistent water supply. Ken and Denis would often go days and weeks without running water, as over 50% of Kenya’s water resources are lost to theft, corruption, or leakage in the aging analog systems. Like other families, they’d buy water from unscreened sources, which was not only expensive but potentially dangerous. The Kenyan government has had no way to track these water losses, which is where Denis and Ken formed the idea for their innovation, Flux.
Across the country, children’s museums are aiming to teach their young visitors about food science, nutrition and agriculture by offering cooking demonstrations and hands-on classes that are fun for the whole family. All children can benefit from learning about where their food comes from and how to make healthy snacks and meals, but these programs are especially beneficial for picky eaters.

Cisco was founded on the possibilities of a single connection between two people. Over thirty years later, that one connection has multiplied to billions, two founders have grown to 75,000 employees, and the world is filled with an unprecedented complexity and opportunity. What remains unchanged is our belief in the power of connections to achieve what’s possible – for our customers, partners, employees, and the world.
With a single connection Cisco changed the world – and we continue to do so today. This is why I couldn’t be more excited to introduce our new Cisco campaign, The Bridge to Possible.
