This summer, a panel of judges from Arrow will select a student team participating in the competition to be awarded the Arrow Innovation Prize. This exclusive prize advances the selected team to the final round of judging at the November competition held at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) headquarters in Alexandria, Va. The Arrow Innovation Prize includes an all-expenses-paid trip and private networking opportunity for the student team with a group of innovators from Arrow.

With this announcement, Trane will be the first in the industry to offer a combined portfolio of screw compressor chillers and high- and low-speed centrifugal chillers with a near-zero GWP refrigerant option. The new solutions will be part of the Ingersoll Rand EcoWise™ portfolio of products designed to lower their environmental impact with next-generation, low-GWP refrigerants and high-efficiency operation. In Europe, Arrow is working with universities that are participating in Formula Student, a global automotive engineering competition. Some 3,500 students across Europe participate in the program each year, producing more than 100 custom vehicles. Arrow sponsors the Formula-E Race Car Projects in Norway and Germany.

Ingersoll Rand®, a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable and efficient environments, won an Environmental Leader Product Award for its Ingersoll Rand Next Generation R-Series line of compressors at the Environmental Leader Conference in Denver, Colorado on June 6, 2017. Deborah Kalish, program manager for Ingersoll Rand, also received an Energy Manager Today 50 award at the conference.

The diamond was mined, cut and polished in Namibia by Ankit Gems Namibia and inscribed at the Forevermark Diamond Institute in Surat, India. It will be set in a piece of jewellery at the Forevermark Design and Innovation Centre in Milan, Italy.
