This summer, a panel of judges from Arrow will select a student team participating in the competition to be awarded the Arrow Innovation Prize. This exclusive prize advances the selected team to the final round of judging at the November competition held at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) headquarters in Alexandria, Va. The Arrow Innovation Prize includes an all-expenses-paid trip and private networking opportunity for the student team with a group of innovators from Arrow.

“The Arrow Innovation Prize is an ideal way for Arrow to further its mission of guiding today’s innovators to a better tomorrow,” says Alex West of Arrow’s global corporate social responsibility team. “We can’t wait to see the transformational inventions these exceptional students present and how Arrow can help move their ideas forward.”

“The Collegiate Inventors Competition recognizes and rewards student leaders, so it is fitting that a finalist team will benefit from this partnership with Arrow,” said Michael Oister, National Inventors Hall of Fame CEO. “We are grateful to Arrow for helping to provide the means for these student competitors to reach their educational and professional goals.”

Student innovators and entrepreneurs in higher education have an opportunity to meet the country’s foremost invention and intellectual property experts, and showcase their work, at the Collegiate Inventors Competition. This nationwide program recognizes the most innovative students for their emerging ideas in science, technology, engineering and other disciplines.

Inventions are judged by a panel of National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductees and USPTO experts — the most influential innovation experts in the country — for real-world feedback on optimizing the potential of each invention.

Competition finalists will showcase their inventions and interact with thousands of attendees — including USPTO examiners, event sponsors, media and the public — at the Nov. 3 Expo and Awards Ceremony. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finalist teams, along with their advisers, in the undergraduate and graduate divisions.
