The Lorton Community Action Center, a human service non-profit based in southeastern Fairfax County, Virginia, has served this community for more than 41 years by providing food, basic needs and self-sufficiency programs through the generous support of our community.

As CECP's Data Insights Director, Carmen leads the high-performing team that achieves CECP's mission by equipping companies to make data-driven decision in their societal investment strategies. This includes the publicly available pieces Giving in Numbers and Giving Around the Globe as well as custom and exclusive insights and benchmarking products for companies in CECP's coalition. Known for strong facilitation skills, Carmen presents publicly on CECP trends on a variety of topics, with a passion for benchmarking and evaluation of results. She has been quoted in Wall Street Journal and other major media outlets.

Women often experience competing priorities and barriers when it comes to their financial future, including lower wages, a longer life expectancy, and fewer years in the workforce compared to their male counterparts. Research from T. Rowe Price supports the idea that there is a retirement savings gap between men and women. The firm is celebrating National Retirement Security Week through the release of "Women on Retirement: Stories to Empower," a seven-part, documentary-style video series created to help women navigate the unique challenges they face when saving for retirement.

As part of 21st Century Fox's commitment to making a positive impact in the local communities where its colleagues live and work, the company is launching 21CF Impact Week. The inaugural week of nationwide service starts today.

As a part of the company’s tour of volunteer service events across its network this fall, many CSX employees gave up their Saturday morning to volunteer at Cook-Wissahickon Elementary School in Philadelphia, Pa. They were joined by the company’s national service partners City Year and Action for Healthy Kids, along with teachers, students and families from the school.
