Earth Day Network is implementing a nationally coordinated environmental volunteer cleanup to mark Earth Day 2019, in collaboration with partners across the U.S., including National CleanUp Day and Keep America Beautiful. n 2017, Canadian Hallmark employees participated in the “Home for Dinner” program in support of the Ronald McDonald House in Toronto. The employees provided volunteers and funds to prepare and pay for a dinner, which fed 130 family members. In all, the dinner donation totaled $1,500, with an additional monetary donation of $4,700 given to the Ronald McDonald House.
This weekend, Sysco volunteers rolled up their sleeves at Whittier Elementary’s large, community garden to help Urban Harvest and the school clean up 11 vegetable beds and prep them for spring planting, which will include an array of culinary herbs and flowers.
