Arrow Electronics employees will be cheering on James Hinchliffe, the driver of the Arrow-sponsored No. 5 Indy car, and the entire Schmidt Peterson Motorsports (SPM) team on Sunday for the 101st running of the Indy 500.

Aggressive recycling and composting, along with utilization of waste-to-energy, have driven our waste reduction/diversion success. Bloomberg currently diverts 75% of its total waste away from landfills and is targeting 90% diversion by 2020.

Bloomberg is committed to developing inclusive leaders and integrating diversity & inclusion principles into all leadership development curricula. We provide tools on how to minimize bias in the workplace and host educational sessions on being an authentic leader, managing across differences and executive presence.

Last month, members of our team in Nevada took part in the Elko District Bureau of Land Management (BLM) sagebrush seedling-planting project. Newmont, the National Department of Wildlife, Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW), the Nevada Muleys and Barrick Gold sponsored the event.

Maria Diaz and Cecelia Contreras are two Spanish-speaking employees who didn’t know very much English when they started working at Wendy’s. While they are both hard working employees, they asked not to work at the front register because they weren’t confident in their English. When I told Maria and Cecelia about the ESL program, they accepted right way and showed a lot of excitement about the chance to better themselves.

These students will represent China at the Stockholm Junior Water Prize for their project "A Research on the Characteristics of a New Type of Chitosan Resins Synthetic and Its Application in Removing Heavy Metal Ion in Water.”

Whole Kids Foundation is a nonprofit on a mission to support schools and inspire families to improve their children's nutrition and wellness. We were established by Whole Foods Market in 2011 and operate in the U.S., UK and Canada, supporting more than ten thousand schools and reaching over five million kids.

In 2016, Bloomberg joined RE100, a global initiative by influential businesses committed to 100% renewable electricity. We have pledged to obtain 100% of our electricity from renewable sources by 2025. Our initial target continues to be 35% electricity from renewables by 2020. To date, our completed solar projects have generated more than 15,000 megawatt hours and saved Bloomberg more than $1 million.
