PR News is thrilled to announce the winners of its annual CSR and Nonprofit PR Awards, as well as the inaugural class of honorees for the Diversity in PR Awards program. The finalists and honorees of these industry-known programs were celebrated at a Spring Awards Luncheon on March 15, 2016 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

The prestigious WEPs CEO Leadership Award recognizes business leaders for their exceptional championship of gender equality and support for the Women's Empowerment Principles. Michel Landel, Chief Executive Officer, Sodexo and Janet Awad, Regional Chair of Latin America and Country President, Sodexo Chile, were recently honored with the 2016 7 Principles WEPs CEO Leadership Award.

On March 21, the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation announced the honorees for the 41st annual Gracie Awards, a ceremony celebrating outstanding work by women in the media industry. The event will recognize Angela Bassett for directing the "Water Apocalypse" episode of Ron Howard and Brian Grazer's "Breakthrough" documentary series on 21st Century Fox's National Geographic Channel, as well Kristine Leahy, co-host of "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" on FOX Sports 1.

Cox Communications, in partnership with The Trust for Public Land, today launched Virginia’s 2016 Cox Conserves Heroes program to honor local environmental volunteers.

James C. (Jim) Kennedy, chairman of privately-held Cox Enterprises was inducted into the Technology Hall of Fame of Georgia at the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) 2016 Georgia Technology Summit on March 17, 2016. Cox Enterprises is headquartered in Atlanta, and its major divisions focus on communications, automotive, and media.

They all follow a common theme: several years ago, member organizations relied on the guidance provided in the Alliance Common Vision to work with their partners to write strong time-bound commitments to improve procurement policies and practices. As many of those commitment timelines are concluding, reports of success are emerging from across the sustainable seafood community.

Companies on the 2016 Honor Roll have demonstrated socially responsible workplace practices and active community involvement, as determined by Center for Companies That Care. CBRE is the only commercial real estate services firm on the list.

Kristina J. Taylor, Vice President, Global Community Relations and Vice President, Ecolab Foundation at Ecolab, was honored with the first Ignite Impact award in San Diego, CA for her exceptional work in the corporate responsibility field.
