My dad wasn’t a mechanic. He didn’t work in a repair shop. I wouldn’t call him a gearhead.

And yet, he was always the first call when someone had a flat tire. He was on speed dial for any neighbor seeking a helping hand, a little encouragement or guidance during tough times.

My dad was plenty busy, running two businesses and raising eight children – yes, eight – in Lansdowne, a blue-collar town just outside Baltimore, Maryland.

That didn’t stop him from playing Mr. Fix It whenever possible.

Leonardo Academy Inc, The Sustainability Experts® announced today that they have been accepted as members of the Continental Automated Building Association (CABA). CABA also became a member of Leonardo Academy’s Educational Affiliate Program. CABA is an international not-for-profit industry association dedicated to the advancement of intelligent building technologies. Leonardo Academy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of sustainability with extensive experience in green building projects and LEED consulting.

Today, the Water Conservation Coalition presented a Water Hero Award to MGM Resorts International in recognition of the company’s ongoing commitment to water efficiency and water conservation practices. The award was presented as part of a commemorative event to open MGM Resorts’ newest outdoor attraction, The Park, which links Las Vegas Boulevard to the company’s new T-Mobile Arena.

The Bob Ross Auto Group has the distinction of being the only Buick-GMC, Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo and Fiat dealerships owned by an African-American woman.
