December 20, 2012 /3BL Media/ - Leading renewable energy company, Pacific Hydro, have released their first combined Annual Review and Sustainability Report, available at http://pacifichydro2012.sustainability-report.com.au/

Consistent with the GRI G3.1 guidelines and GRI-checked to application level B, the report provides a comprehensive and transparent account of the company’s performance against its economic, environmental and social sustainability targets.

Key highlights of the report include:

  • 20 years of clean energy celebrated
  • 1.8 million megawatt hours of clean renewable energy produced
  • 1.2 million tonnes of CO2-equivalent emissions abated
  • completed the 111 megawatt Chacayes run-of-river hydro plant in Chile on time and budget
  • voluntary turnover reduced by 3%
  • Inclusion and Diversity strategy launched
  • A$377,000 invested into local communities
  • more than A$642,000 spent on training and development opportunities for employees
  • installed capacity increased by 13%
