In addition to prevention efforts, PT Freeport Indonesia continues to assist in the care of COVID-19 patients in Mimika. The company has allowed facilities such as the Mimika Sports Complex and its Athletes' Dormitories to be used as an isolation ward for patients in quarantine in Timika.

PT Freeport Indonesia supplied 100 oxygen tubes to the Mimika Regency Public Hospital. Using advanced technology at its Kuala Kencana Clinic, the company also continues to provide quick and accurate COVID-19 testing for several hospitals in Mimika.

The company has coordinated with the Amungme and Kamoro Customary Community Foundation and the local Mimika Diocese to distribute food staples to the communities living in villages near the company's operations.
