PENNINGTON, N.J., May 14, 2015 /3BL Media/ - A new CITGO-Subway location is open for business in Pennington after a four month refurbishment project initiated by owner Guleria Enterprises.  Located at 102 Washington Crossing Road, the gas and convenience store location will provide 10 to 15 new jobs for local residents, including students from Hopewell Valley High School and Mercer County Community College.

“This site has long been a staple of the community, so it was important for us to improve the customer experience by updating the location and adding a fresh food option,” said station owner and President of Guleria Enterprises Manjit Guleria. “In addition to the new jobs available, we also made a point to partner with local firms and professionals during the renovation as another way to give back to our community and help keep it strong.”

For the official grand opening on April 17, Hopewell Township Mayor Harvey Lester officiated the ribbon cutting ceremony while Miss Gateway, Jessica Milne, mingled with the crowd at the new Pennington location. As a special thanks to its customers, the location also raffled tickets to the Philadelphia Zoo and Adventure Aquarium in Camden along with $50 CITGO Gift Cards, and Subway provided discounts on sandwiches, fountain drinks and coffee.

“At CITGO we believe in investing in our local communities while at the same time providing a great customer experience at our branded locations,” added CITGO Assistant Vice President of Supply and Marketing Alan Flagg. “This newly renovated location in Pennington achieves both; it’s a win-win for the consumer and the community.”

Since 1998, Guleria Enterprises has managed CITGO stations, convenience stores and car washes throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The new CITGO-Subway location in Pennington is the seventh station managed by Manjit Guleria, an active member of the Hopewell Township community committed to giving back to the area through civic engagement and local employment. Guleria is a member of the Hopewell Township Affordable Housing Committee and was also appointed to the Hopewell Township Financial Committee last year. His active participation in the Hopewell community is reflective of the larger CITGO mission to “fuel good” in local communities.
