NEW YORK, June 8, 2015 /3BL Media/ — Recently, tens of thousands of Deloitte professionals spent their day contributing to more than 950 community service projects in more than 80 U.S. communities in celebration of Impact Day, Deloitte’s 16thannual nationwide day of community service. Held on the first Friday of June, Impact Day coincides with the start of Deloitte’s fiscal year and kicks off the organization’s year-round commitment to corporate citizenship.

“Each year on Impact Day, I love seeing our people fill classrooms, parks and training centers to make a difference in communities across the country,” said Cathy Engelbert, chief executive officer, Deloitte LLP. “Impact Day is just one part of the hundreds of thousands of volunteer, pro bono and professional training hours Deloitte offers to nonprofit organizations nationwide throughout the year. It’s a day to celebrate all we do to make an impact that matters in the communities where we live and work.”

With a special focus on veterans and education-focused projects in 2015, Deloitte professionals contributed their time and specialized business acumen to help nonprofits advance their missions.
