October 14, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Climax Molybdenum Company granted $20,000 to the Buena Vista Boys & Girls Club of Colorado for a summer lunch program.

“Every day, the kids had a healthy, sustaining meal,” club executive director Brian Beaulieu said. “The kids were more focused, more attentive.”

This was the first summer the club had a fully funded, free lunch program. Meals were offered from June 2 through Aug. 8, serving 1,645 meals to 118 different children.

Remaining funds from the grant will go toward future meal programs, allowing the club to continue supporting healthy food initiatives during the school year.
