Las Vegas Sands’ ECO360 Strategy in Action: Advancing Environmentally Responsible Operations, Sustainable Seafood Commitments at the Venetian Resort Las Vegas and Parisian Macao
Las Vegas Sands continues to make strides in advancing our ECO360 global sustainability strategy at our properties internationally. On the United Nations’ World Environment Day on June 5, we announced that The Venetian Resort Las Vegas built on its support for the development of renewable energy and sustainable seafood through new strategic partnerships. Additionally, we proudly announced that The Parisian Macao received a prestigious LEED Silver certification for the entirety of its operation - making it the first integrated resort in Macao to do so.

Las Vegas Sands, through its award-winning sustainability program Sands ECO360, continuously focuses on reducing environmental impact while engaging Team Members and partners to unite around the protection of our planet. Engaging Team Members with various activities and initiatives around the world allows its over 46,000 Team Members to understand the efforts that the company makes to reduce its footprint, while also learning how to reduce their own impact in their daily lives, at work and at home.

Through Sands ECO360, Las Vegas Sands’ award winning global sustainability program, the company has a responsibility to the planet and is committed to minimizing its environmental impact. Each quarter, Sands publishes its efforts in sustainability in the Sands ECO360 newsletter highlighting pivotal moments and milestones across its properties around the world. Sands is a leader in sustainability within the hospitality industry focusing on four key pillars: green buildings, green meetings and events, environmentally responsible operations, and stakeholder engagement.

Las Vegas Sands Retains A List Position by CDP and Discusses the Importance of Transparency About Environmental Performance
Las Vegas Sands was recently recognized on the Climate Change and Water A List by CDP, the international nonprofit environmental disclosure platform. The company has participated in CDP disclosure since 2012, beginning with reporting on climate change initiatives and performance. The disclosure put transparency to our environmental performance, relying on a structured well-recognized framework. We have chosen CDP platform because it is the best for carbon disclosures and its questionnaire offers guidance and ideas on how to adjust our measurements, goals, disclosures and new initiatives for upcoming years.

Las Vegas Sands Recognized as World Leader for Climate Change and Water
Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS) has again been recognized by CDP, the international nonprofit environmental disclosure platform, on both the Climate Change and Water A List. This is the company’s fourth year in a row to attain a leadership position for Climate Change and its first on the Water A List. Las Vegas Sands is proud to be recognized and continues to work towards additional reduction of its environmental impact.

Las Vegas Sands Properties Conserve Energy with LED Lighting
As part of its award-winning sustainability program, Sands ECO360, Las Vegas Sands remains committed to energy conservation at all of its properties around the world. In 2011, the sustainability team embarked on replacing lighting with LED light bulbs. The sustainability team created their own in-house testing labs where thousands of LED light bulbs were tested. They became experts on the topic and established a global implementation to all properties and currently, Las Vegas’ lighting is 80% LED, Marina Bay Sands is at 71% and Sands China Ltd. properties are at 95%.

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas Raises Awareness About Plastic Pollution with Statewide Recycled Art Contest
In support of America Recycles Day on November 15, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas partnered with the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Nevada Recycles Program to sponsor a statewide recycled art contest to raise awareness of recycling. The theme followed Earth Day’s 2018 campaign to End Plastic Pollution and required all entries to be composed of used, or found plastic materials.

The ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands Retains the Prestigious LEED® Gold Certification
Marina Bay Sands has made another breakthrough with its sustainability efforts with the ArtScience Museum securing the prestigious LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification under the Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance rating system. This makes it the the first museum in Asia Pacific to obtain the globally recognized sustainability achievement.
