Only one month remains of 2018, but we are feeling invigorated after an eventful three months since our last News Bite and looking forward to the year ahead! Important themes for us over the past few months have been human rights, women's economic empowerment and digitalisation. Keep America Beautiful’s 2018 America Recycles Day Heightens Awareness and Amplifies Benefits of Recycling

Each fall, thousands of communities across the country participate in America Recycles Day (ARD), a Keep America Beautiful national initiative, which takes place on and surrounding Nov. 15. Through ARD, Keep America Beautiful, along with its community-based affiliates, ARD sponsors and partner organizations, inspires communities to directly engage their residents to recognize the economic, environmental and social benefits of recycling, and provide an educational platform to raise awareness about the value of reducing, reusing and recycling – every day – throughout the year.

Coca-Cola and Keep America Beautiful Celebrate America Recycles Day With Public Spaces Recycling Bin Grant Program

National nonprofit Keep America Beautiful and The Coca-Cola Foundation today – on America Recycles Day – announced the opening of the application period for the 2018 Keep America Beautiful/Coca-Cola Public Spaces Recycling Bin Grant Program. In its 12th year, the initiative is designed to increase access to recycling in community public spaces across America. Grant applications will be available online through Dec. 20 (11:59 p.m. EST), 2018. Applicants may visit BinGrant.org to apply.
