In celebration of Veterans Day, The Home Depot Foundation is growing its mission to serve those who served through an updated commitment to invest $750 million in veteran causes by the end of fiscal year 2030. The Foundation announced today it surpassed $500 million invested.
As part of its commitment to help improve lives and build stronger communities, Entergy Texas contributed $75,000 to the United Way of Mid & South Jefferson County to support the expansion of the West Port Arthur Community Garden.
Giving back to veterans is personal to The Home Depot, as more than 35,000 of the company’s associates are veterans or military spouses. The Home Depot Foundation’s annual Operation Surprise initiative aims to provide life-changing moments of surprise through service.
Through this year’s annual fundraising campaign with Stand Up To Cancer® (SU2C), American Airlines raised nearly $4 million for innovative and life-saving cancer research, the most successful fundraising campaign the airline has contributed to since joining forces with SU2C.
Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK) has made a $20,000 donation to the Red Cross to support relief efforts following the recent earthquake in Morocco, the country’s deadliest earthquake in more than a century. The company will also match employee donations.
