Eleven high school teams sponsored by Bechtel are competing in the 2016 FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) World Championship in St. Louis, April 27-30. They are among more than 550 teams from around the world that qualified to compete in this event, considered the preeminent celebration of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Students Show Off Their Coding Know-How At Samsung Developer Conference

Student developers will stand alongside professionals at the Samsung Developer Conference in San Francisco today. The students, chosen from the five winners of the 2015 Samsung Mobile App Academy, made apps to address issues in their local communities. Winning apps include an interactive pill chart to incentivize children with serious illness to take their medication, a system for diagnosing pulmonary illnesses and a game to teach kids coding.

April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month -- a month dedicated to raising awareness of the issues facing animals, from dog fighting to puppy mills, and more. With this in mind, we at NetSuite.org, wanted to highlight and celebrate a handful of nonprofit organizations who go above and beyond to protect and save animals – not just in April, but 365 days a year. Luckily for us, they’ve also chosen to use NetSuite to help them run their programs-- whether that program be distributing microchips or making handmade dog leashes and donating part of the proceeds to rescue animals.
