The Canadian province of Alberta is currently facing one of the worst natural disasters in recent years, as they battle wildfires that span 400,000 acres, and are expected to burn for months. Twenty-five U.S. school districts from 16 states participated in a symposium on global digital education convened by Global Cities, Inc., a program of Bloomberg Philanthropies. More than 20 of the school districts were from the largest school districts in the U.S. including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas, Ft. Lauderdale and Houston. In addition, the symposium was attended by educators from Barcelona, London, and Warsaw.
The port of Hamburg will be celebrating a premiere relating to LNG supply this Saturday. On May 14, AIDAprima and AIDAsol will be the first two AIDA ships to be simultaneously supplied with and/or powered with energy produced from LNG (liquefied natural gas) while berthed in the port of Hamburg.
