Fox opened its doors to seven of the university's top female graduate students on July 13 as part of an exchange organized by Lee and the Women's Empowerment programs at the U.S. Department of State. The visit, which included a full tour of the studio lot and its operations, gave the students an up close and personal look at the American entertainment industry.
Point Foundation (Point), the nation’s largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students of merit, is committed to helping young people acquire leadership skills. Thanks to the generosity of corporate supporters and workplace giving, this year Point is able to bring its current 84 scholarship recipients and many of its 350 alumni together for leadership training events around the country, including a National Leadership Conference.
In 2015, AT&T sponsored 7 young men of color for All Star Code’s 2015 Summer Intensive program. While the United States remains the largest export market, encouraging demand trends are emerging – especially in China, where exports have more than doubled since 2012 and the appetite for B.C. farm-raised salmon continues to grow.
Salmon farming in British Columbia is worth more than one billion dollars to the provincial economy and results in over 5,000 well paying, year-round jobs. The majority of this economic impact is seen in rural coastal British Columbia, particularly in First Nations communities.

Bypassing work plans and coffee runs, the Mini-Internship is a shortcut to one of the key benefits of a traditional program – access to industry leaders. Instead of one intern filling one position, the program is an open forum for many students. Hosted at Samsung 837, the series will connect high school and college students with some of the best and brightest from a variety of fields.
For eight years, Hope Connections for Cancer Support (Hope Connections) has been partnering with RDB Running, creators of unique running events.
