Youth Fusion Appoints Co-Founder of Vigilant Futures Arvind Ramanathan to Board of Directors
(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Montreal, QC – July 5, 2011 – Youth Fusion, an award-winning charity that establishes partnerships between high schools and universities, appointed a new member to its Board of Directors in a unanimous vote at its last board meeting, Arvind Ramanathan, co-founder and Managing Director of Vigilant Futures.
“Vigilant Futures has been working as a corporate partner with Youth Fusion for close to two years and I have witnessed the positive, life-changing effect it has through my interaction with the students. Now I’ll be equally privileged to help from the administrative perspective,” said Mr. Ramanathan. “It was an honour to even be considered for the position and I will work diligently to ensure I am worthy of the appointment.”
High school dropout rates in Quebec are among the highest in Canada and Youth Fusion is making a difference through University, high school, and corporate partnerships like Vigilant Futures. Youth Fusion’s mission is to counter dropout rates by creating and implementing projects that motivate youth and keep them interested in school. Its success rate has increased exponentially since its inception.
