Congratulations to the WSP USA Bridges to Prosperity 2022 Team on the recent completion of the Kagarama suspended bridge in western Rwanda. Over the past two weeks, the team worked tirelessly to construct a suspended bridge crossing the dangerous Kiraro River. During the rainy season, flooding is prevalent and the river is simply impassable. This 229’ bridge will serve 3,800 people in the communities of Kagarama, Jurwe, Rubazo, Gahabwe, and Kinyege to reach markets allowing people to buy and sell crops, attend school, access healthcare, and visit family.

Congratulations to our project team: Carlos Ramirez, Derrick W. Rosenbach, AICP, Erica Toussant, PE, PTOE, Jan Reichelderfer, Jeffrey Yates, Meredith Avenoso, Osama El-Quqa, PE, Vinod Kambrath, Shanwen Liu and Patrick Rizk.
