Workplace giving season ramps up - Original article on Calgary Herald

As the philanthropic and workplace giving season ramps up leading up to Christmas - a third of all donations to non-profits are received in December alone, studies show - one Calgary company, Benevity, is promoting best practices, ease of use through technology and employee choice as cornerstones of an effective workplace giving program.

"Companies that get it are recognizing that employee engagement is a Holy Grail for human capital management and the connection between engaged employees and out-performing the competition is clear."   Technology exists today, including a platform offered by Benevity, which makes it easy for employees to give and to target their donations to the cause of their choice.  "The power of these programs is that it takes you beyond conventional HR compensation models," he says. "There's only so much you can do with carrots and sticks. What you can do with inspiration knows no bounds."   Read the entire article in the Calgary Herald.   About Benevity
