FISHERS, Ind., October 5, 2020 /3BL Media/ - Land Betterment Corporation (“Land Betterment” or the “Company”), an environmental solutions company fostering positive impact through upcycling former coal mining sites to create sustainable community development and job creation, show and discuss its development plans for its multi-purpose, 120-acre site located in Perry County, Kentucky, near the town of Hazard.

Executive Chairman of Land Betterment, Mark Jensen, discusses over video its upcoming plans to development the ekō Village of Pike; a housing development offering a modern-day, sustainable and affordable new housing option to the region.  The ekō village will be comprised of approximately 80 container-based modular homes which offer tenants affordable, modern-day luxuries at an affordable price point.  The individual housing units, which use recycled shipping containers as its main structural component, are also extremely eco-friendly and energy efficient.

Additionally, and adjacent to the ekō Village of Pike, Land Betterment plans on developing a 30-acre, ag-tech greenhouse under its Betterment Harvest division.  This initiative is building on the regional momentum to establish Appalachia as a next-generation, sustainable agriculture hub in the United States and to provide locally-sourced agriculture to the market.
