Salt Lake City, May 1, 2013 /3BL Media/ -  Verisk Health announced that its Quality Intelligence solution has been certified by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) to support quality reporting for commercial and Medicare Advantage populations in the California Pay-for-Performance (P4P) program. The solution is certified for all 23 measures included in the NCQA P4P Software Certification process. Verisk Health is a global leader in data-driven healthcare solutions and a long-standing NCQA HEDIS Software Certification beta-testing partner.

“Verisk Health has a well-established record for providing quality reporting solutions. We’re proud to continue our leadership in the space by being one of the first solutions providers to support the California market with the technology and analytics needed to drive effective pay-for-performance initiatives,” said Joel Portice, president of Verisk Health. “We strive to deliver measurement accuracy and transparency, software ease of use, and process efficiency and simplicity. This new capability delivers on all counts and allows clients to evaluate quality results prospectively, identify critical gaps, and implement strategies for improving outcomes.”

The California P4P program is the largest nongovernmental physician incentive program in the United States. The Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA) manages the program on behalf of eight health plans. The IHA contracts the NCQA to develop and maintain the clinical measures, aggregate data across health plans, report results, and manage the vendor certification process.

Health plans and providers use Verisk Health’s Quality Intelligence solution to track, measure, benchmark, and improve adherence to clinical quality standards. The solution features measure support for HEDIS, CMS Five-Star, Pay-for-Performance, ACO 33, PQRS, and state reporting deliverables. Quality Intelligence also includes claim chasing and data abstraction services that facilitate data collection and provider engagement.
