Tetra Tech is supporting local communities in Southern California to improve the natural functions, habitat, and ecosystems of the 19-mile-long Lower Los Angeles River. Tetra Tech is leading a diverse team of planners, landscape architects, scientists, and community organizations to develop an innovative revitalization plan that is community-centric and watershed-based. The Lower Los Angeles River Revitalization Plan represents the future of inclusive and integrated water management.

The plan addresses three key components—water and environment; the public realm; and community health, economics, and equity. Tetra Tech’s revitalization efforts seek to improve the surrounding communities and environment by supporting public safety and river access, affordable housing and local businesses, and water quality and flood control.
