Building on our Techstars partnership with Dynamic Green Products (DGP), we have launched a new line of FDA-listed hand sanitizer gel to help combat COVID-19.

Stanley Black & Decker created the STANLEY + Techstars Accelerator in 2018 with a focus on additive manufacturing and expanded the program in 2019 to include eco-friendly sustainable packaging solutions. Many of these start-ups have adapted their business to provide COVID-19 resources and support for frontline workers.

DGP, a bio-based producer of high-performance synthetic lubricants and cleaning solutions recently pivoted to add hand sanitizer to their product line. In a newly-formed licensing partnership, Stanley Black & Decker will be selling the plant-based, FDA listed hand sanitizer gel online at homedepot.com, as well as other leading retail outlets. The solution is made from a unique, plant-based thickener and 72% ethyl alcohol, killing 99.99% of germs, and is independently tested by a microbiology lab. The company is proud to market this product under the STANLEY® brand, and promote their STANLEY Earth initiative, aimed at corporate social responsibility through the creation of innovative products that create a positive impact for communities.

As part of the company’s commitment to keeping its employees safe throughout the pandemic and doing our part to help communities mitigate the effects of the virus, Stanley Black & Decker will distribute the hand sanitizer in each of our facilities around the globe. In addition, the company will donate $100,000 worth of hand sanitizer to those in critical need at senior living facilities through STANLEY Healthcare. And as our CRAFTSMAN team builds a new manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, TX, they have also provided hand sanitizer to food banks across the state in an effort to show their support of local surrounding communities.
