Sanofi Spreads the Word about Diabetes Awareness on World Diabetes Day

November 14th was an important day at Sanofi offices worldwide, when colleagues gathered to recognize World Diabetes Day (WDD), a day set aside around the world for diabetes awareness. Globally, diabetes is an accelerating public health issue. By 2050, it’s estimated that one in every three people will have diabetes. 

As a company, we are committed to meeting the challenges that people living with diabetes face through innovative treatments and education. As part of this commitment, we strive to ensure our employees are well informed about the condition, our efforts and how everyone can play a role in supporting people with diabetes and those at risk.   Data Design Diabetes Innovation Challenge Announces Winner   It’s particularly appropriate that on World Diabetes Day we also announced the winner of the Data Design Diabetes Innovation Challenge. The Challenge embodies the spirit of what we are working to accomplish as a company – fostering innovative new products and services to help people living with diabetes.   We received many impressive entries, and we are pleased to announce that the winner of the Data Design Diabetes Innovation Challenge is Ginger.io.   Ginger.io transforms a mobile phone into an automatic self-monitoring tool for tracking real-time movement patterns and social interactions passively, without user input.   We salute the efforts of Ginger.io and congratulate them on their commitment to the diabetes community.
