This report is NCB’s third annual GRI accredited Sustainability report.
The report outlines NCB’s Sustainability policy, framework, performance and 2011 commitments with respect to its six stakeholder segments – customers, society, employees, environment, shareholders and business partners.

The significant achievements in 2010 were focused around improvements in the bank’s environmental performance. This included the development of a comprehensive environment policy, devising a 5-year environmental plan and importantly the establishment of a dedicated environmental function within the Bank.

In addition, the report highlights relevant case-studies and practical examples of enhanced Sustainability practice across the NCB business such as corporate governance, enhanced employee behaviors and attitudes, capacity building in Saudi Arabia’s philanthropic sector and recycling.

The opening thought leadership article by NCB’s Chief Executive Officer, Abdulkareem Abu Alnasr, discusses NCB’s approach to sustainability reporting and calls on Saudi Arabia’s public and private sectors to publically communicate performance in this important area by issuing Sustainability Reports.
