Highlights from the Report include:

  • The only major spirits company certified to be operating in accordance with world’s most recognized standards for quality, environment, and health and safety - ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 - for all production facilities

  • Total renewable energy currently being used by manufacturing facilities is 30% more than in  2009 and 70% higher than in 2006

  • Reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 18.9% from last year; four year reduction of 30.6%

  • 8.6% improvement in water use efficiency over last year, resulting in 17.4% over the past four years and exceeding the five year target of 15%

  • 16% reduction over last year in lost time accident rate

  • Increased number of supplier sites linked to Bacardi on Sedex, the database for sharing ethical audit data, to 175; exceeded target of 100

  • Conducted 15 High-Performing Team workshops with 260 senior level participants

  • Expanded activation of “Champions Drink Responsibly,” an international social responsibility campaign featuring Formula 1™ seven-time champion Michael Schumacher, in 38 countries reaching more than 37 million legal drinking age and above consumers; 250,000+ visits to the website

  • Contributed $4 million to philanthropic and community involvement programs
