Campaign: Collective Impact

(3BL Media) September 10, 2012 - Register for the FSG and GEO "Investing in Change: Funding Collective Impact Efforts" Webinar, on September 25, 2012 for an opportunity to discuss the key role of funders in successful collective impact initiatives.

Collective impact is an approach to solving societal problems based on the idea that no organization acting alone can solve complex issues. A collective impact approach requires the commitment of a group of organizations— including nonprofits, government, business, and philanthropy— to coordinate their efforts around a clearly defined goal.

Participants will join FSG’s Fay Hanleybrown and Grantmakers for Effective Organizations’ (GEO) President and CEO Kathleen Enright, in conversation with Emily Tow Jackson, Executive Director, The Tow Foundation, a funder of a New York State juvenile justice collective impact effort; and Ken Thompson, Program Officer, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, funder of The Road Map Project to talk about barriers funders face in participating in collective impact efforts, tips for overcoming them, and the wide range of roles funders can play.

Panelists will share lessons learned, including how the role of a collective impact funder differs from that of a more traditional grantmaker. This webinar will also create a forum for both funders and practitioners alike to learn about working together more effectively.

Register here ($49). Please tweet along with us using the hashtag #collectiveimpact.
