In partnership with the Center on Crime and Community Resilience at Northeastern University and the University of Chicago Crime Lab, PayPal will fund the formation of a research collaborative to better understand payment methods that are used to finance illegally-sourced firearms in the United States, and to generate actionable insights and guide efforts to combat illegal firearm distribution. This is part of PayPal’s commitment to reduce and eliminate firearm-related violence.
