Media advisory: Zurich Insurance employee volunteers to pack food for Feed My Starving Children

(3BL Media) May 29, 2012 - Feed My Starving Children is an organization that provides quality, nutrient packed meals for starving children throughout the world. Zurich employee volunteers are helping the group make a difference during an upcoming volunteer event benefiting the charity:

When: Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Where: Feed My Starving Children office, 1072 National Parkway, Schaumburg, IL 60173 - Parking lot entrance on Remington Road

Description: Forty Zurich Insurance employees, including Nancy Mueller, head of Operations for Zurich North America Commercial, will pack boxes of food to help children in need.

Zurich provides support and funding to non-sectarian 501(c)(3) charities, like Feed My Starving Children in these focus areas:

  1. health and welfare of children in need
  2. sustainable community development
  3. health, safety and disaster relief programs

This is a very exciting time for Zurich. The insurer is celebrating its 100 year anniversary of insuring America and doing business in the U.S this year, as well as challenging its employees in the U.S. and Canada to help make a difference in "100 Ways" by completing 100+ community service projects throughout 2012. These volunteer activities are one of 100+ Ways Zurich is helping communities it serves.
