Employees at Avnet’s Global Solutions Center in Chandler, Ariz., raised more than $26,000 to help the Salvation Army’s Christmas Angel program, an effort that supports more than 50,000 people in the Phoenix metro area. The employee-led effort dates back to 2007 and has resulted in $282,000 in donations.

“It’s inspiring to see the care and concern our employees have for children. So many Avnet employees in offices around the world supported The Salvation Army and their Forgotten Angels program which helps ensure that less fortunate children receive a gift for the holiday. Every child should be able to have a happy holiday and I love that our employees go out of their way to ensure the children in their community are supported,” said Janet Woods, Avnet Cares Global Program Manager.
