FISHERS, Ind., October 21, 2020 /3BL Media/ - Land Betterment Corporation (“Land Betterment” or the “Company”), an environmental solutions company fostering positive impact through upcycling former coal mining and industrial sites to create sustainable community development and job creation, today announced that it will host a regional AgTech Stakeholder Day on Thursday, November 5, 2020.  The day of meetings will bring together thought leaders from academia, government service, non-profit and private enterprise.  The focus will be on building a national, resilient agriculture supply chain based in Appalachia and the Midwest.

Kirk Taylor, President of Land Betterment Corporation commented, “There is no place better to build resiliency than from coal country.  As a state, Kentucky, has been at the forefront of international collaboration in AgTech and we have seen some great successes.  Our business line, Betterment Harvest, seeks to close the supply chain to ensure it can remain local while giving family owned businesses access to national sales channels.”

Betterment Harvest is currently developing the following two business lines to add sustainability and resiliency to the national food supply chain:

Vertical – installs and manages hydroponic vertical farms in 5,000 square feet grow rooms on up-cycled coal mining sites, utilizing state-of-the-art LED lighting and technology.

Groh – utilizes a combination of hydroponics and other cutting-edge climate control greenhouse technologies to bring the newest, modern agriculture technologies to eastern Kentucky.
