MANSFIELD, La. – After learning about school uniform insecurity at the Mansfield Elementary School, Industrial Packaging’s Mansfield, Louisiana, Mill team donated 466 articles of clothing to local students in grades in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade. Team members at Mansfield believe every child deserves to attend school in decent clothing and hosted a uniform drive where employees could pick up a pink or blue tag representing a Mansfield Elementary School student to purchase clothing aligning with the school district’s uniform policy.

Mansfield Elementary School Principal Amanda LaFollette expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the school and its pupils. LaFollette also shared how some of their students struggle to afford a uniform to get them through the school year, and that some students come to school without shoes or clean, undamaged clothes in the right size.

“I am very proud that the Mansfield team stepped up to provide these critical supplies to schoolchildren,” said Ed Barr, mill manager, Mansfield Containerboard Mill. “Every child deserves to have the basics that allow them to come to school each day and focus on learning. The Mansfield schools are producing our future employees, and I’m glad we can help.”
