HanesBrands Sponsors Free Medical Surgeries for Children in Dominican Republic

Free surgeries provided through partnership with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center

Since forming a partnership in 2011 with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, a world-renowned, fully integrated academic medical center in Winston-Salem, more than 200 children of our Dominican Republic employees, have been the recipients of life-changing eye, ear, nose and throat surgeries.

The unique partnership between Hanes and Wake Forest Baptist sends a team of surgeons, doctors, anesthesiologists, nurse-anesthetists, surgical nurses and medical students to Bonao two to three times a year to conduct surgeries during the weeklong volunteer missions.
