(3BLMedai/theCSRfeed) SAN FRANCISCO, CA - June 2, 2010 - Center for Resource Solutions announced today that OneEnergy Renewables' new renewable energy certificate (REC) product "OneEnergy Wind RECs" is now Green-e® Energy Certified. OneEnergy Renewables joins the growing network of renewable energy providers that offer products certified by Green-e Energy, the nation's leading certification and verification program for renewable energy.
"We commend OneEnergy Renewables for offering its customers only certified renewable energy options, and we are excited to welcome them into the program," said Alex Pennock, Green-e Energy Manager. "By sourcing from 100% domestic wind, OneEnergy Renewables is giving its customers a way to participate in one of the fastest-growing segments of the renewable energy market."
OneEnergy Wind RECs support currently available renewable resources and aid the development of new renewable resources in North America, and are available to both residential and commercial customers nationwide.
"OneEnergy Renewables is committed to selling 100% third-party tracked and verified products, so naturally we are offering Green-e Energy certified Wind RECs, which will give our customers the highest level of assurance in their renewable energy purchase," said Bill Eddie, President of OneEnergy Renewables. Green-e Energy is the leading renewable energy certification and verification program in the U.S., with over 280 participating vendors that sold over 13 million MWh of renewable electricity in 2008. The program provides independent, third party certification to ensure certified renewable energy meets strict environmental and consumer protection standards.
Providers of Green-e Energy Certified renewable energy agree to abide by the Green-e Energy Code of Conduct, and meet strict disclosure and truth-in-advertising requirements. All marketers of Green-e Energy Certified products undergo an annual verification audit to document that the company purchased and/or generated enough quantity and type of renewable energy to meet customer demand and marketing claims.
OneEnergy Renewables provides practical and transparent carbon reduction solutions to businesses. The Company accomplishes these reductions through its role as the only source for 100% independently tracked and verified Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) and Carbon Offsets (registered with the Climate Action Reserve). Because OneEnergy Renewables also develops its own high quality clean energy projects, the Company creates a seamless link between its customers and new renewable energy projects. OneEnergy Renewables’ direct participation in REC and carbon markets improves the financial return to investors and landowners, making more clean energy projects viable. At the same time, its project development business allows customers to advance the construction of projects in the most meaningful, measurable, and efficient way possible.
